Why are tiles batched?

Minor variations in the natural raw materials can result in minor colour variations once tiles

are fired. These colour variations are sorted into different batches. Non-rectified tiles are

also sorted into size calibres, which we include as part of the batch. This is important to

ensure tiles line up when they are being installed. Non-rectified tiles as they are cut to an

exact size do not have calibres, but will still have a colour batch number.
